When you are in sales there are two cardinal rules: Don't talk politics and don't talk religion. When you open your mouth in these arenas, there is a 50/50 chance that the other party won't agree with you and why would you jeopardize a potential sale pontificating on your own opinions. Now there are exceptions and a few other rules like don't smoke in front of a client, don't comment on how ugly the family dog is and don't ask the woman of the house if she is pregnant unless you are 100% confident you know the answer already. These can be deal breakers! Most successful sales people generally follow these rues. I will break with tradition and sort of violate the rule and make a bold prediction: In the next 30 years, Tim Tebow will run for the office of President of the United States of America. He will win his parties nomination (I don't know which party), and he will carry Florida and Colorado. After that I have no idea what will happen. Please archive this blog and in 2032 or 2036 refer back and see who was the first to predict it! I will be 78, still typing away, selling retirement digs in the Caribbean and the Blog on that day will read:
BLINDS WIDE OPEN -day 11551 I TOLD YOU SO! (please refer to day 240)
This is Dave, watching ESPN for the last 2 hours, from The McLaughlin Group, keeping it real in real estate!
